Funding pathways and required controls

These pathways are intentionally separate. This screen describes the controls RallyAid plans to require; it does not claim that every payment or compliance control is active yet.

Campaign contribution

Political contribution rules, donor eligibility, limits, attribution, reporting, and jurisdiction-specific disclosures apply.

Legal-support fundraiser

Funds must have a verified recipient, defined eligible use, refund policy, fee disclosure, fraud review, and clear non-charitable tax language unless a qualified recipient applies.

Charitable contribution

Deductibility depends on the recipient’s qualified status. Receipts and tax copy must match the actual recipient and transaction.

Organization support

General organization support is kept separate from campaign, charity, and legal-support pathways with its own recipient and use disclosures.

Commercial payment

Subscriptions, boosts, and services are commercial purchases. Fees, refunds, billing terms, and any sponsored placement are disclosed separately.

Required before a pathway is enabled

✓ Recipient verification
✓ Donor eligibility and source checks
✓ Applicable limits and attribution
✓ Jurisdiction matrix
✓ Reporting and record retention
✓ Refunds and dispute handling
✓ Fraud monitoring
✓ Receipts and tax treatment
✓ Platform and processor fee disclosure

Legal review is required before launch. Federal campaign rules include source restrictions and election-specific limits; state and local rules require their own matrix. Political contributions are not tax-deductible, while charitable deductibility depends on a qualified recipient.
